Our guest speaker Leslie Merit Chew

“Creative Arts – A Force For Good”

Leslie is the recording engineer behind the controls for a long list of artists – from his early days with Roberta Flack and Todd Rundgren to his current touring schedule with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Taylor Dayne. His work portfolio includes music for primetime TV shows Survivor, Boy Meets World, and Walker Texas Ranger. Leslie has honed his skills, working on over 100 albums, helping artists create Grammy-nominated and award-winning titles, including the highly acclaimed fusion band, Hiroshima.

In addition to mixing sound and supporting artists, Leslie is a founding member of Force For Good Music, a foundation that produces music and films intended to inspire awareness of humanitarian and environmental issues.

In his talk, Leslie will reflect upon his experience working with artists to guide us in understanding and applying the creative process in our daily lives. He will share his insights to how creative energy works, how to be open to receive it, and how to make it a part of who you are. His intent is for us all to discover a new approach to the creative avenues in our lives.
